RASTRO

2022

Inspired by the designers experience in Itabira, a mining town, home of Carlos Drummond de Andrade, who also inspired the creation of the pieces with his poem “Tinha uma Pedra no Meio do Caminho”.

In this scenario, two tables were created that rescue the raw Amazonite stone, with all its richness of colors, veins and textures, as it is a stone heavily contaminated by other minerals, such as Garnet, Hematite, Quartz, among others. This mineral is abundant in Minas Gerais, making its preciousness a symbolic place.

Irregular stones are placed on top of each other using a solid bar, which form the feet. The colorless glass top has an organic shape, revealing the irregularity of the pieces.
