The Itabira Collection arises from the nostalgic anguish of being born in a city surrounded by progress and destruction. This same opulence is a tragedy. We were inspired by family stories about the precarious mining that developed around the mining area in the 1970s in Itabira, Minas Gerais.
The name Itabira originates from the Tupi language and means stone (ita) that shines (bira). The designs of the pots are inspired by the pans used in mining. The Jequitibá bar appears as a poetic element. Fixed at the top of the pots, it defines two sides.
