Itabira Centerpiece

The Itabira Collection was born out of the nostalgic anguish of being born in a city surrounded by progress and destruction. The same opulence is tragedy. We were inspired by family stories about the precarious mining that was formed around mining in the 70's in Itabira, Minas Gerais.

The name Itabira comes from the Tupi language and means stone (ita) that shines (bira). The designs of the pots are inspired by the batteries used in the mining. The Imbuia bar appears as a poetic element. Fixed to the top of the vessels, it defines two asymmetrical sides.
