BELA VISTA
2019
The Itabira Collection is born from the nostalgic anguish of being born in a city surrounded by progress and destruction. The same opulence is tragedy. We are inspired by family stories about the precarious mining that was formed on the outskirts of mining in the 1970s in Itabira, Minas Gerais.
The Bela Vista table center takes its name from a neighborhood in Itabira that is next to one of the 12 existing containment structures in the city, the Dam from Pontal. The colors chosen for weaving the piece were inspired by the colors that iron ore gains when exposed to the open air. The object is composed of two geometric baskets that can be arranged together with the cedrinho wood piece in several ways.
